Earlier today, hackers leaked the fourth episode of Game of Thrones season 7 on Vidme, Google Drive, and The Pirate Bay. HBO intervened and took down the Google Drive page, but the Vidme and The Pirate Bay links are still up and offering the leaked episode at the time of writing.
Links to the leaks have first appeared on Reddit and have been fervently shared on social media torrent sites ever since.
Hackers first leaked GoT S07E04 script, then the actual episode
Over the weekend, a group of hackers (or a lone hacker) leaked upcoming episodes from Ballers and Room 104, two HBO TV series. The hackers also leaked the script for episode 4 of Game of Thrones season 7, but not the actual episode. In statements to journalists, the hackers said they stole over 1.5TB of data from HBO servers. HBO acknowledged the breach.
HBO says today's leak might not be related to the hack that came to light over the past weekend, which might be a separate incident altogether.

Leaked episode stolen from one of HBO's distributors
The Game of Thrones episode leaked today includes the watermark of Star India, one of HBO's Indian distributors. A Star India spokesperson confirmed the episode's authenticity to Entertainment Weekly and also said the company would be starting an investigation into the breach.

Two years ago, HBO went through a similar situation when the first four episodes of Game of Thrones season 5 leaked on torrent sites. That leak originated in episode previews sent to media members via DVDs before the season's premiere.
