'Can I Change My Mind' is a 1968 single recorded by soul singer Tyrone Davis. It was his featured debut and in early 1969 replaced Marvin Gaye's 'I Heard It through the Grapevine' to become the number-one song on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles chart, and was also a Top 5 Pop Hit, peaking at number five on the Hot 100^[1] It was also an R.I.A.A. Certified Million-Seller. ^[2]. The song is featured in the Larry Clark film Another Day in Paradise (1998).

Davis was born in a rural community twenty miles outside of Greenville, Mississippi to Willie Branch and Ora Lee Jones. He spent most of his formative years in Saginaw, Michigan, but moved to Chicago in 1959.
