I remember Crossfire being one of the role-playing game I've ever heard of, although it was kind of confusing because of the developers and joint ventures conflicts. Today the game is an open source RPG. If you didn't play it, then Crossfire will take you into a medieval fantasy world where you will be able to pick one of the many races and improve the skills of the ones you have chosen. Scorn and Navar are the two available cities you will have to pick from, but there is plenty of room to explore, thanks to the thousands of maps available.

After the briefing you'll start out flying through a quick level in your helicopter, blasting everything in sight. You have bombs you can use, or a turbo boost that gives you temporary invincibility. Once you reach the end, you'll see a cinema of your chopper decending, and this is where the game gets interesting. You'll see a close up of your chopper at the bottom of the screen, and you get to fly over the enemy base basically killing everything that moves with impunity, you're invincible in the 10 or 15 seconds this part lasts.

Now you bust out on foot and run through the level like in Commando. The control scheme is pretty good, pressing back or back diagonally makes you shoot forward in the opposite direction, so you can walk backward and shoot everything ahead of you. You can shoot turrets that are up on ledges or walls. Calls in the chopper, your guy will dive onto the ground and you'll get the close up chopper view and be able to kill anything that moves for a few seconds.

At the end of each foot level there's a door you have to enter, inside is a super short level where you just need to find the hostage and kill a few enemies.

The coolest effects are how your guy actually gets bigger when he jumps, the up close view of the chopper, and the way the bullets ricochet with the Disrupt and Wave weapons, killing enemies with the flak. There's not really any flicker, and absolutely no slowdown even when there's about 15 little jets flying at you on the screen.

CrossFire is a completely free online first person view shooter. Although this is a position focused primarily on online gameplay, it has a certain feature profile. The game tells the story of two organizations - Global Risk and Black List. The first of them brings together former special forces soldiers who carry out dangerous missions all over the world. The Black List also offers its rental services, however, focusing mainly on terrorist activities, acting to the detriment of many people. In this way, both organisations have completely different values and start a fierce fight against each other.

In the game we can play the role of a member of one of the factions mentioned above, each of which also offers several character classes. So we get to choose, among others, representatives of various world special forces. Among them are, for example, soldiers of the American unit S.W.A.T., former members of the Russian OMOH or the English SAS. Of course, there is also a large set of weapons, which includes: rifles (Uzi, P90, MP5, AK47, M4A1, Dragunov, Famas, M700 and many others), pistols (Colt 1191, M9), white weapons (knife) and grenades and other accessories.

Duels between two factions take place on one of a dozen or so maps, with a maximum of 16 players participating. The creators have developed a few very interesting fun modes. The standard ones are known in this type of productions: Team Match and Team Deathmatch. In the first of them we have to eliminate the whole opposing team or meet a special condition, e.g. put up a bomb. The second form of play is won by the team that will score the most points (for finishing enemies) after some time. It is worth mentioning among the original ways of competing in the network: Ghost Match. One of the teams, the terrorist Black List, uses camouflage clothing and is only equipped with knives. Its task is to blow up targets using explosives. The Global Risk team has access to full weapons, but enemies can only be traced through hearing. This faction must defend strategic points against blowing up.
